About Me

Hello, this is Marie, the founder of “The Stress Free Mom”. I am a mother, a teacher viktig bildand a writer. Like most of us, I have a hectic life! I am constantly on the run as I am
always in a hurry to get to work, then home after work to take my son to his afterschool activities on time. I never really have the time to sit down and relax. Yes, life is hectic but I love every minute of it. Honestly, it wasn’t always like this…

Not long ago

Three years ago I was almost burned out and close to depression. I wasn’t the mother I wanted to be – not even close. I wasn’t the teacher I wanted to be and I never ever had the time or energy to write. I was tired all the time and had almost forgotten how to laugh. I knew I had to change my life. I wasn’t sure how I should change, what I should change or even where I should start. This was the beginning of my journey.

My journey to a more stress free life

I wouldn’t say it has been easy. There were so many questions I had to find an answerÖga to, but I had to begin to ask them. What was the reason I was feeling like this? Was my problem emotional? Mental? Physical? The more answers I got the more questions I realized I needed to ask.

Of course I also tried different solutions. I think I tried it all – or at least most of it. I read hundreds of pages about stress and stress relief in books and on the internet. I spoke with friends, doctors and a coach to find solutions. I tried different stress releasing techniques. I even tried to improve my daily routine and what I was eating. Everything I could imagine would make a difference, I’ve tested in the pursuit to get my health back. Some things I’ve tried has not worked at all, others has worked very well. Some has been really, really bad and others has been close to amazing.

It took a long time, but one day I started to recognize myself. I had found my way back and I had found my laughter again!

Why this website?

I’m very blessed. I have wonderful parents and amazing friends. Even as a single mother I know I have people around me that would help me and my son if we ever needed it. But, what if the situation had been different? I could have been alone with no support. What if I had woken up one morning realizing I just couldn’t get out of bed to cook for my son and I had no one to ask for help?Thumb

When you recognize the first sign, it should be a fast and easy way to find the cure. Time is of the most importance. In my case it took far too long. If I can help anyone to have a shorter journey than I had, then my goal for this “The Stress-Free” Mom has been accomplished.

If you ever need any feedback or support regarding stress and stress release, I would be more than happy to connect with you. Simply leave your comment below and I’ll get back to you. By the way, you might want to come back to this site now and then. I’ll continue writing about all the new things I learn about along the way and I want to share my experiences as I know you would like to learn more as well.

I want to wish you all the best in creating a stress free life and thank you for stopping by!

I love the look of your website and, even more so, the content you’re putting out. I think a lot of the concepts you talk about can also be applied to stressed out dads so I’ll be taking notes and trying to implement some changes in my own life!

    Take care,
